• Dreaming is necessary, especially for adults. The energy you carry is impacted by your dreams, what you believe you can do. That energy transfers into everything else—make it good!!!!

I recently looked through my giant silly camera roll seeking patterns of my own eye. 👀📸 Lots of coffee.

It’s not really about the coffee itself, or even it being a good picture (though I enjoyed each one) it’s that the simple pleasure of having the coffee made me want to capture it.

Yes, I remember each cup—some lone joe’s, others with a book or journal, and many shared cafès with friends all over (my personal favorite). Proof of life lives in the corners of these images.

Each glimpse into a coffee cup shows a mood, sometimes a rich and blunt espresso, sometimes a classic and simple black coffee and other times a sweet & slow cappuccino. ☕️

☀️ Summer characterrrr! We are meant to change WITH the seasons...I do this each season but I recently did it with a friend for summer and had even more fun talking it out. This is how to live out many mini dreams and track new things to learn, ways to move, see and BE! ⁠

Rest is a word I've re-learned, because it isn't just more "sleep." Movement, dreaming and play are REST for the soul. When I feel rested to my core, I am different and that makes the world different. Energy is at the center of everything, but it's not bottomless. ⁠

Total reset ⌛️

After moving homes, a crazy start to the year for work and two months that went by in a blink, I didn’t realize how much I needed to tap back into the basics. Everything about me surrendered to 5 days of “nothing” and my body feels the reward — worth it. Early mornings, lazy afternoons, a good fiction book, phone detox, and most importantly…natural vitamin D. ☀️

Reset at home:
• early morning (no phone all day!)
• meditate
• walk outside
• workout
• ice dip or cold shower
• sauna (find one!!)
• read a book
• play a game
• lay in the sun (even if it’s still winter)
• early to bed

A little February play date inspired by awaiting spring. In case you haven’t heard it recently, unwinding is VITAL! A little movement, deep breathing and intentional thought before getting messy is sometimes all it takes.🎨🌸

A few sale flowers & a hammer struck inspiration before arranging, so I stole a few buds. Half the time we stop before we try because we fear failure but what if it makes something kinda beautiful?

What materials to mix and match next 💭

🛑 TAKE A DEEP BREATH! 💨

Breath is a superpower that I didn’t appreciate until a few years ago doing breathwork in yoga through a hard time. I strangely found that breathing deeply sometimes made me cry—what it did was make me connected.

1 deep breath creates space between thoughts and reactions just enough to get grounded to calm down.

2 deep breaths connects the physical body to your mental or spiritual self, tapping into what YOU think not what everyone around you thinks.

3 deep breaths optimize your body’s energy. It fuels the muscles and connects and mind muscles too. Energized and calmed is my goal, is it yours?

Take a deep breath, or two…or three.🌬️

It’s easy to worry about not doing enough…or feeling like you have to be doing something all the time…it can feel isolating but the reality is, it’s relatable.

The best results (in anything) come from a rested mind and relaxed spirit. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, the solution might be to simplify and get some rest. 🧖‍♀️🧘‍♀️💤

It's easy to neglect the recovery part of the "process"—being, creating, working, etc. But it's arguably the MOST important part. ⁠

Burnout happens when your energy isn't working for you, you're working for energy. And it trickles into well, everything.⁠

If you notice that you attach guilt to playtime, it's a sign to take a step back and observe. Why do you feel guilt? What makes you feel rested? What details of the world inspire you? Who do you miss or need to thank? ⁠

Learning to incorporate play into every day, in small ways is the key, so let's do more of that. ✨️

At the root of the playdate: You don't have to be "zen" or "flexible" to do yoga. You don't have to know everything to try something, you don't have to be good at something to enjoy it. Not everything has conditions.⁠

I am NOT zen or flexible SO I do yoga. I don't know everything SO I try new things constantly. I'm not good at painting AND I still enjoy it. ⁠

"Making it to the mat" is a metaphor. All it means is: ⁠
🌬️ taking time to breathe⁠
💭 noticing your own judgement and replacing it with curiosity ⁠
🫠 melting, relaxing, unwinding

Yoga has a way of creating space to discover the "self" while simultaneously releasing "self" to become part of something bigger, connected. While we're on this intention theme—notice where you lack intention—is it with your movement? Your time? Your people? Your work, food or thoughts? ⁠Yoga helps rein that in, not to be “better,” but to feel more connected.

There are a million layers, it's an ancient practice, and you can be part of it too, in whatever way you choose. Trust me, it's some sh*t you want in on. 🤸🏼‍♂️🕺🏻🧘🏽‍♂️ ⁠

Hello Monday it’s your friend ⏸️🧘‍♀️THIS is what might be missing from your routine.

SCENT! Intention setting / focus corralling / getting down to business is way more effective with a scent. The more senses at work, the stronger the imprint of a memory & the more engaged the mind feels. Part of why we set intentions at all is to create a focus that we can come back to when making decisions, feeling, reacting etc. Make the memory easy to reignite. 🕯️

If you use the same scent each time, the mind and body get accustomed to dropping in to the same mode each time, whatever the mode is. Like a hype song but in this case, a focusing scent ;) I have an incense scent that I light each time I take a seat to write, visualize or breathe and I now live by it—it immediately drops me in.

Forget the pressure of Jan. 1, the month of January we are focused on “intention” what it is, how to set one and good clear steps to follow the words.

There have been several “intentions” I’ve set that honestly made me feel like I didn’t understand what it really means to set one 🙈…not because I haven’t understood it’s purpose of doing it, but because I never explored what I needed in order to let it guide my actions, or sometimes it wasn’t what I really needed.

Here are a few journal prompts with questions to explore your year, your mind and set an intention that feels right for 2025 🤩💫🏆

Good morning weekend. ☀️🍳🥞 Mornings are the priority this year and INTENTION is the focus of January (more on that later).

Saturday breakfast was a favorite ritual for me last year and it trickled off as many things do. It’s all about beginning again…starting with good mornings.

The only rules worth having. 🍪❄️❣️Holiday playtime in full swing and tasting quite sweet.

I saw “color walk” somewhere and had to try it. 10/10. I love routine…and I love interrupting routine even more 🙊 🔴

Whether you’re downtown or in the suburbs, you never know where your walk might take you or what you might notice when you’re eyes are open! Follow the color of front doors, far off signs, nature, passing cars and see what route you end up taking.

4 ingredient creations get the gears turning. It’s not about the end result as much as it is about the process of making something with your hands. 🙌🏼 When you find yourself doing the doom scroll put down your 📲 and look around for a few ingredients to keep your 🧠 sharp.

WHY is red the best influence for good root energy? It’s bold bright and powerful and will make your inner child feel passionate and inspired.💥🎈By surrounding yourself with this color you’re likely to subtly find yourself feeling fiery and confident.

Through the holiday season this color isn’t hard to come by. Take note of where red finds you and remember…your boldest self is in there watching. ❣️
